Sweat & Tears<\/em> is a series of sauna gatherings organised by trans people for trans people and their friends. These gatherings are evening events that include safer embodiment, care and community, music, sauna bathing and swimming, relaxation and releasing tensions in the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

International Trans Sauna Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are launching International Trans Sauna Day! International Trans Sauna Day will be celebrated annually on August 31<\/strong>. The purpose of the day is to highlight how trans people are and have been an essential part of sauna culture, as well as shaping it into something more equitable and accessible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this day, we want to promote sauna-going as something that belongs to everyone, as well as bodily autonomy, respect for all bodies, and the right to self-determination \u2014 while advocating for more inclusive and safer sauna spaces. It is only fair and just that the celebration of this day begins in Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We challenge public saunas and swimming halls, as well as municipalities and cities, to offer sauna opportunities for gender minorities year-round! Trans Sauna Day is a great moment to begin providing these opportunities and to start conversations within your own communities. Trans liberation and the right to bodily pleasure for all \u2014 now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
